We dedicated our new home on Sunday, December 7, 2003 Read the Baltimore Jewish Times article on the move to our new home. Read the text of Rev. Christopher Leighton's remarks at the dedication ceremony. Pictures from the dedication ceremony.
The Bolton Street Synagogue purchased a 4 acre parcel on Cold Spring Lane (see map) for our new home. The existing vacant electric substation was renovated for our current and future needs.
Facts and Figures:
Our architect, Charles Alexander and Associates, provided us with a wonderful, creative use of these spaces. This is all done within a small building envelope, to preserve as much of the property’s open space as possible. A large portion of the open space on the north part of the property will remain as a permanent undeveloped area, through Program Open Space. The contractor that constructed our building was Hencken & Gaines.
