Welcome to the home page of the Bolton Street Synagogue religious school

Our religious school meets on Sundays from 9:30 AM to 11:45 AM. Students range in ages from 1st graders in our Alef class to B'nai Mitzvah in the Zayin class. Gan Alef, for 4 and 5 year-olds, meets several times through the year.

The Gan Alef class for children ages 4 and 5 meets 16 times this year (including religious school special occasions).

Due to the size of the Gan Alef class, the 4's and 5's will meet on separate Sundays. The planned activities will be the same for both the 4's and 5's classes. On certain Sundays, especially holidays, all Gan Alef students will meet during the same class. See the schedule below for specific dates when Gan Alef meets.

Each class participates in one Friday night service each year. Class participation is in conjunction with our Friday family services.

This year the Zayin class will be participating in Shabbat services once each month. Dates are as follows:

Please be aware that parking is limited to the upper lot and the back spaces in the lower lot.

1. All Aleph, Bet, and Gimmel students should exit the building at 11:45 from the DOWNSTAIRS -- They should wait to be picked up in the DOWNSTAIRS (back of the bank) parking lot.

2. All Dalet, Hey, Vav, and Zayin students should exit the building at 11:45 from the UPSTAIRS -- They should wait to be picked up in front of the building, and they will not go into the parking lot for any reason until the carpool lane is empty.

3. For those of you with multiple aged students: Older students (from Dalet, Hey, Vav, or Zayin), please meet younger siblings downstairs and wait with them in the downstairs parking lot.

4. For safety reasons, all people parked in the upstairs lot should wait to exit the lot until the carpool lane is empty.

If we experience inclement weather, please turn to WBAL radio. If the Center for Jewish Education (CJE) has cancelled religious school, then our school will be cancelled as well.

All teachers will be called and asked to call you to make sure everyone is aware of the snow day.
