Bolton Street Synagogue and other local synagogues are co-sponsoring this event hosted by Jews United for Justice.
Immigrant communities across Maryland are under attack from the federal administration, and it is incumbent upon all of us to demand a stop to these unjust fear tactics, arrests, and deportations. This Tisha b’Av, the day of mourning for calamities that have befallen the Jewish people throughout history, Jews from across Maryland will gather in front of the Baltimore ICE Field Office (the George H. Fallon Federal Building) to mourn and demonstrate our collective resistance to the ongoing attacks on our immigrant neighbors, family members, and friends here in Maryland.
The program will include a mincha, the Jewish afternoon prayer service, learning about concrete ways to support immigrants in our fight against ICE, and other meaningful activities for anyone who does not wish to participate in the prayer service.
Please also share this event, which will take place rain or shine, with your networks.
