The recently published book 10/7: 100 Human Stories is a masterful work of investigative journalism by acclaimed Haaretz reporter Lee Yaron, chronicling the October 7 massacre that ignited a war through the stories of more than 100 civilians. These stories are the products of extensive interviews with survivors, the bereaved, and first responders in Israel and beyond. At a time when people are seeking a deeper understanding of the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and how internal political turmoil in Israel has affected it, 10/7 takes a fresh approach, offering answers through the stories of everyday people, those who lived tenuously on the border with Gaza.
The Baltimore Jewish Council, Bolton Street Synagogue, and community partners invite you to a conversation with Lee who will share some of the stories she heard and speak about her experience of writing this book and the insights she gained. A book signing will follow the program.
Registration is required and free of charge, and there is an option to purchase a subsidized copy of the book in advance for $10 or on the night for $15 (cash only – retail price $30).*
